Three steps:

  1. Publish at least one Kinetic Gain document. Pick a spec, fork the canonical example, validate against the schema, serve at the well-known URL. See docs.kineticgain.com for the 30-second quickstart per role.
  2. Verify with the walker. Type your domain at walker.kineticgain.com. At least one document must come back FOUND.
  3. Open a PR on kinetic-gain-directory with your domain, a one-paragraph description, and the list of documents you publish. Listings are merged when the walker confirms.

The directory is intentionally curated rather than automated for v0.1 — listing is a signal that someone actually read your declarations and confirmed they're well-formed. v0.2 may add automated discovery once a critical mass of vendors publish.

Why a directory matters

Open governance specs only matter if vendors actually adopt them. A public directory of compliant vendors is the cheapest possible adoption-tracking mechanism, and the most useful artifact for procurement teams trying to find AI vendors who disclose. The directory's existence is also a soft incentive for vendors who haven't yet published — being absent becomes a visible gap.

Future versions will probably add: badge-level tiers (publishes-1-spec / publishes-3 / publishes-trio), automated freshness checks (last-validated timestamp), and an RSS feed for new listings. For now, v0.1 is just the static page + the submission process.
